They have found that about 60% of the participants who did some exercise for 30 minutes three times a week managed to beat their depression without using any medication. This is at par with the patients who took medication only to treat the depression. </p>

A study discovered that brisk workout of mere 8 minutes could help to reduce sadness, anger and tension along with developing resistance to various diseases even in healthy people. Many people do exercise to enhance their confidence besides reducing stress and anxiety. All of them contribute to psychological health. Therefore, exercise can be regarded as preventive measure, which may truly help to avoid physical and psychological conditions. Even small outpouring of activities help individual sense better that means one does not need to spend hours to achieve genuine mental health benefits. </p>

This hormone released in the brain increases the pain threshold of the human. People feel a state of happiness if the hormone level increases. Exercise improves the sleep pattern, thus improving the mental health. </p>
